A warm welcome to our stylish ‘Wood and Sky’ holiday flat, situated in the converted attic of a freshly renovated farmhouse. This light-filled flat, built using modern solid timber construction, combines natural materials with contemporary design to create an atmosphere where you can immediately unwind. The large windows let in plenty of natural light and offer a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside – including colourful sunsets that make for a particularly atmospheric evening. The holiday flat is on the second floor and is easily accessible via an external staircase. A free parking space is available directly in front of the house, as is free Wi-Fi for relaxing moments or planning your next excursions. The location in the Chiemgau region offers ideal conditions for relaxation and activities: gentle walking trails, mountain hikes with stunning views, idyllic lakes, cosy alpine huts and a wide range of leisure activities in the immediate vicinity. Both those seeking peace and quiet and active holidaymakers will find their perfect balance here. Please note that pets and dogs are not permitted. Environment description Aschau im Chiemgau is an ideal base for a wide range of activities. The Kampenwand, with its panoramic trails and varied mountain walks, invites you to enjoy unforgettable moments in nature. The nearby Chiemsee, with its islands, offers relaxation by the water, cultural highlights and stunning views – just a few minutes’ drive away. For day trips, both Salzburg, with its impressive old town, and Munich, with its museums, shopping and famous sights, are ideal destinations. Both cities are easily accessible and perfect for guests who love to explore. The region can be explored effortlessly by train: it takes about an hour to reach Munich or Salzburg, and Lake Chiemsee can also be reached quickly by train or bus. About the host Your holiday begins right on your doorstep. In summer, both a lovely bathing spot and the idyllic moorland bathing area with its Kneipp facilities are just a ten-minute walk away. The village centre, with its shops and the railway station, is just as close – ideal for a relaxed arrival or popping out to run a few errands. A bus stop with services to Lake Chiemsee and into the village is just a few minutes’ walk away. For hiking enthusiasts, the outdoor adventure begins right on your doorstep: varied trails, walks and scenic routes invite you to discover Aschau im Chiemgau on foot. Cyclists can also set off straight from the house and explore the Chiemgau region on two wheels – at a leisurely or more vigorous pace, whichever takes your fancy. Ch. directly to your host. Arrival Description Coming from the A8 Munich–Salzburg motorway, take the Frasdorf / Aschau exit and turn left towards Aschau. In Aschau, take the second exit at the roundabout. After crossing the railway line and rounding a sharp bend, turn left into Höhenbergstraße as you round the right-hand bend. The holiday flat is in the second house on the left, just after the orchard meadow. Description of the accommodation Holz & Himmel – your retreat in the heart of the Chiemgau region. Our modern holiday flat, Holz & Himmel, is situated in the lovingly renovated top floor of a former farmhouse and, with its 53 m², offers a place to breathe deeply, relax and feel at ease. The combination of natural solid timber construction, plenty of light and an open-plan layout creates an atmosphere where you feel instantly at home and can find peace and quiet. Through the large windows, your gaze falls directly onto the countryside – meadows, mountains and the warm colours of the evening sun. The flat is ideal for two people and features an open-plan layout: the living area, with a cosy seating area, dining table and a fully equipped kitchenette (hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, Bialetti espresso maker), is perfect for relaxing. The separate bedroom features a comfortable double bed (180×200 cm), a Smart TV and a clothes rack. The modern bathroom, complete with a bath, spacious walk-in shower, hairdryer and toilet, rounds off the cosy atmosphere. Please note that dogs and other pets are not permitted. For families with a baby, we are happy to provide a safety rail. Bed linen and towels are, of course, provided.
